Evacuation!, 2024
Plaster, acrylic paints, and found materials
Imitating survival might be nothing more than just a rash act. Evacuation! is an imagination of such desperate moment, or reckless action, letting viewers put themselves in the state of evacuation. By creating a space made out of plaster, each color represents circumstances and narratives that evoke emotions. Depending on what the viewers discover, interpretation could be part of their own story.
The artist invites viewers to experience carnal density of vision, which refers to bodily encounter that they make physical and sensory connections to the piece while watching visual images.
